Springtime on the homestead
Hey There, thanks for dropping in! If we have not met-we are Beth and Josh, we live up in the hills of Central New York on our 2 acre homestead where we are passionate about all things Nature!
Springtime is my favorite season-the lilacs, the singing birds and the smell of sweet budding flowers...
We love watching the sun rise, strong coffee and long rides in the woods on 4 wheelers.
As a registered nurse who has worked in the medical field for over 24 years, I have seen the other side of a chemical filled lifestyle and have a passion to live and share a more natural lifestyle, back to our roots!
On our 2 acres we enjoy our free happy ranging chickens, growing our vegetable garden, enjoying the berry bushes and making our own maple syrup from our 3 sugar maples.
This year we planted 2 more apple trees, pear tree and blueberry bushes. It is so exciting to me to play in the dirt and truly enjoy nature as it was intended.
We have been here about 3 years and it has felt like a slloooowww start to building our homestead and creating this old 1850 farmhouse into our dream home.
BUT all the hard work, planning, financial focus and passion is starting to show results!
We will be undergoing a pretty big rehab on our house this year and we could NOT be any more excited!!
Thank goodness for my essential oils-I use them on the daily and they are my OBSESSION. When I learned I could reach for an essential oil instead of a chemical filled product-I was HOOKED. Not only do they support a holistic lifestyle-mind, body & spirit-but I use them in my household and personal care products as well!
Not only are we creating a healthy home but as a Mom-I have peace of mind knowing I am using -literally-natures pure living energy-essential oils in my home, with my family and on the homestead.
I love these cute little centerpieces to put out on the patio or picnic table to enjoy an annoyance free outdoor experience.
In a mason jar:
add a few sprigs of rosemary
a slice of lemon and lime
fill with water
add 100 drops each: tea tree oil, lavender and citronella essential oil
Top these beauties with a floating candle and whoolah!!

Life is short, DO what matters....
